BITES NEARBY: Bayou Restaurant

Owned by Lou and Terri Ward, the Bayou has long been a destination for seafood dining in Havre de Grace.

You could blindly scroll through our directory to find a restaurant that catches your eye. But we'll do one better. Each week, Havre de Grace Patch will pick a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

This local establishment offers up plenty of eye-candy for amateur Havre de Grace historians. The history can be seen through their decoys, paintings and photographs. In this casual-to-dressy atmosphere you’ll want to check out some of their many seafood offerings, such as the crab cake, as well as American cuisine, including hamburgers. I recommend starting off your meal with a cup of cream of crab soup to warm your belly, and rev up your appetite.  Prices range from $6.50 to $23.95 for entrees. Opened Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (last seating at 9 p.m.). 927 Pulaski Highway, 410-939-3565
