City Council Will Honor Three Students

Havre de Grace City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday with an agenda full of proclamations and recognitions.

The first of two scheduled October meetings is set to include the recognition of three local students and proclamations to five local businesses or organizations.

William Russell is scheduled to be appointed to the water and sewer commission.

The approval of employee steps and longevity is the third item under new business. A budget transfer to parks and recreation is scheduled, as is the introduction of four events:

1. Running with the Reindeer—Dec. 3
2. Havre de Grace Independence Day Celebration—2012
3. Shakespeare in the Park—2012
4. Upper Chesapeake Hospice Regatta—2012
