City Installs TVs in Council Chambers
Havre de Grace City Hall had three television screens in council chambers Tuesday.
Residents attending got a new experience in viewing the proceedings.
Television monitors were installed on walls on either side of the council chambers at for visitors to view, as well as within the rotunda for those individuals seated on the dais.
Installing monitors in the council chambers has been an item under consideration for years, according to City Hall staff, but it wasn't until last spring that City Council opted to keep the items in .

“It’s going to make it a lot easier,” Councilman Fred Cullum said. “It’s a new venture, something that this year at budget time, council decided we were going to use a bit of money and do something for us for a change to improve our space here and to make it easier for the citizens, also.”
The visual upgrades follow a series of audio upgrades made at City Hall. New microphones were installed on the dais and on the podium for public comment.
