Council To Intro Ethics-Based Resolution

Havre de Grace City Council on Tuesday will introduce a resolution to better enforce the city's ethics code.

In a Tuesday meeting, due to Monday's President's Day holiday, City Council will give a first read to a resolution that will introduce finance forms for elected officials and candidates for elected office.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

The agenda (see the PDF included in this post for the full version) also calls for two presentations.

Havre de Grace Manager of Economic Development Meghan Simmons will make a presentation regarding a sustainable community designation.

Elaine Bennett, sponsor of Havre de Grace High School's S.M.I.L.E.S. organization, will make a presentation on the Relay for Life event scheduled for June at James R. Harris Stadium.

Reverend Baron Young of St. James AME Church will deliver the opening prayer.

Havre de Grace Patch will provide live coverage of the meeting beginning at 6:45 p.m.—or whenever the Mardi Gras parade comes to an end.
