Craig: 'We Offer People in Maryland a True Choice in 2014'
Harford County Executive David Craig delivered an address announcing his gubernatorial candidacy.
When Harford County Executive David Craig announced his candidacy for the office of Maryland governor Monday morning, he was the first Republican to throw his hat into the ring.
"I refuse to accept a one-party state for the state of Maryland," Craig said.
Delegate Ron George of Anne Arundel County also has his sights on the Republican nomination, according to The Baltimore Sun, which reported George plans an official announcement for Wednesday.

Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown announced he will be running on the Democratic side, with Howard County Executive Ken Ulman as his running mate.
Gov. Martin O'Malley, a Democrat who has been in office since 2006, endorsed Brown last month, The Washington Post reported.
