DUI For Wrong-Way Driver On Route 40: HdG Crime

Police said a driver was charged after field sobriety tests on Route 40, plus thefts and a drug arrest were reported in Havre de Grace.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The Havre de Grace Police Department and Harford County Sheriff's Office provided the following information about recent incidents in the Havre de Grace area. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

There was an eviction in the 500 block of Harbour Court on Feb. 7. Officers were called there at 1:42 p.m. and 4:33 p.m.

A sick raccoon was reported in the 3900 block of Deer Park Court at 10:59 a.m. on Feb. 7.

Buckets of nails were reported in the road on Bulle Rock Parkway at 4:46 p.m. on Feb. 6. They appeared to have been in commercial buckets.

Vandalism was reported on North Earlton Road at 11:04 a.m. on Feb. 6.

A theft was reported in the 300 block of Saint John Street. The suspect was leaving the store around 9:23 a.m. on Feb. 6 when the manager confronted her. The suspect dropped the items and left, and the property was recovered.

There was a crash reported in the 4000 block of Chapel Road at 10:52 p.m. on Feb. 4 involving wires/pole. Nobody was injured. There was property damage.

A theft was reported on Walnut Street at 4:22 p.m. on Feb. 4.

A 22-year-old woman was cited for DUI after officers received a call about a driver going the wrong way on westbound US 40 in the area of Lewis Lane. When police responded at 11:49 p.m. on Feb. 3, they found an officer had already pulled over the driver, whose eyes were said to have appeared bloodshot and glassy. After conducting field sobriety tests, police charged the woman, who lives in the 4200 block of Rock Run Road, with driving while intoxicated and issued her several traffic citations.

Jerry Anthony Wyatt, 47, with addresses in the 100 block of Wilson Street and the 100 block of Gracecroft Drive, was charged with drug distribution and related charges (possession of paraphernalia, possession of drugs other than marijuana and possession of more than 10 grams of marijuana, among others). The charges were from Jan. 13, 2017, court records show. Wyatt was arrested on a warrant Feb. 3 and released on $3,500 bail that day. He is slated to appear in Harford County District Court for a preliminary hearing on March 1.

Deputies responded to Locust Street and Pine Street around 2 and 3 a.m. on Feb. 3, respectively, for disturbances involving screaming.
