FOOTBALL: Hawks, Eagles Win Big; Huskies Hang On

UPDATED (11 p.m.)—Here are the scores as compiled by Patch staff from the coaches:
FINAL» 9, 3: The Huskies' Deonte Alston rushed for 184 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. He also intercepted a pass. Justin Palmer had nine tackles and a 30-yard catch. Justin Gunn made seven tackles, including four for a loss, while Trent Olszewski intercepted a pass. Kyle Reddish hit a 30-yard field goal for Patterson Mill (2-0).
FINAL» NORTH HARFORD 44, Rising Sun 7: Josh Welsh rushed for 187 yards and four touchdowns on 14 carries and the Hawks held Rising Sun to just 107 total yards. North Harford (2-0) quarterback Ryan Stinar rushed for 75 yards and a score, and added 81 yards through the air.

FINAL» 50, Bo Manor 12: Aberdeen improved to 2-0 with another high-scoring effort. Austin Bonsall scored three times—two rushing and a 60-yard punt return. Kenny Faulcon was 5-of-9 for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Christian Carpenter, Chavez Cheatem and Quintel Kelly added touchdowns for the Eagles.
FINAL» Perryville 34, 14: Perryville (2-0) won the Susquehanna Bowl for the first time since 2004 and just the second time since 2000. The Panthers got out to a 28-0 lead mid-way through the third quarter and dominated the line of scrimmage against Havre de Grace (1-1).

FINAL» ELKTON 21, 12: The Golden Elks (1-1) bounced back from a fourth-quarter loss at Havre de Grace to down the Bobcats (1-1).
FINAL» Tower Hill 20, 19: Austin Nierwinski ran for a touchdown and passed for another, but the Cobras (0-2) fell at home.
FINAL» Joppatowne 14, North East 6: Jamil Lee rushed for 207 yards on 26 carries for the Mariners (2-0). Anthony White (10 tackles), Dylan Nicodemus (seven tackles) and Khalil Jones (five tackles led the Joppatowne defensive effort.
FINAL» 29, DULANEY 22 (Sept. 10): The Patriots (2-0) jumped out to a 14-0 lead and Brandon Lewis finished with three touchdowns in the win.
FINAL» 15, Edgewood 6: Fallston remained undefeated with the victory.
