Funeral Procession to Cause Delays Around Harford County
Harford County Emergency management issued a traffic advisory due to funeral for Chief James W. Terrell.

Drivers should anticipate delays on US Route 1 and MD Route 543 this afternoon due to a funeral procession, according to Harford County Emergency Management.
The funeral for Chief James W. Terrell is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Darlington Volunteer Fire Company’s firehouse at 2600 Castleton Road in Darlington. Internment will follow at the Slate Ridge Cemetery located near Peach Bottom, PA.
The procession will travel from the firehouse to Route 1 south, which it will take until MD Route 543.

On Route 543, the procession will head north to MD Route 165, where it will continue on to Pennsylvania’s Route 74.
“Due to the length of the funeral procession, motorist should expect delays on U.S. Rt 1 and MD Rt 543 especially,” according to a statement Harford County Emergency Management issued Tuesday morning.

In lieu of flowers, donations may go to the James W. Terrell Memorial Fund at the National Bank of Rising Sun, 3535 Conowingo Road, in Darlington.
