Sheriff: 2 Arrested Near Havre de Grace in Heroin Bust
Harford County sheriff's deputies said they discovered drugs during a traffic stop.
Two North Carolina residents are facing drug charges after a traffic stop near Havre de Grace revealed a significant amount of drugs inside their vehicle, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
Shareef Damone Fed, 30, of Manson, NC, has been charged with importing heroin into the state, possession with intent to distribute heroin and possession of a large amount of heroin, after law enforcement officials stopped him on Interstate 95 for driving with an inoperable brake light, according to officials.
At 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Harford County sheriff's deputies were patrolling I-95 as part of a traffic safety initiative when they stopped Fed, who was driving a 2001 black Chevy Tahoe near the MD Route 155 exit for Havre de Grace, according to a press release from the sheriff's office. Court records indicate Fed was driving on a suspended license.

A K-9 from Maryland State Police alerted officers to the presence of drugs inside the vehicle, the release stated.
Upon investigation, officials found a block of heroin wrapped in cellophane, containing 400 bags that were packaged for street sale; in addition, they located 44 grams of marijuana, .4 gram of cocaine in two small vials and 24 separately packaged bags of heroin, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

In all, officials recovered 118 grams of heroin, valued at $4,900, according to the statement.
Fed is being held on $500,000 bond at the Harford County Detention Center and is being held without bail on a warrant from New Jersey, where he is wanted for narcotics violations, according to the sheriff's office.
His passenger, Anjeanette Monroig-Barrett, 31, of Manson, NC, was charged with possession of marijuana and having a dangerous concealed weapon.
Monroig-Barrett was released from the Harford County Detention Center Thursday on a $5,000 bond, according to the sheriff's office. She has a trial date scheduled for June 6 in Harford County District Court.
