Havre de Grace Duck Drop to Ring in 2017

On New Year's Eve, the annual dropping of the duck will be bookended by music and fireworks.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The duck that has earned Havre de Grace national recognition will be dropping once again from its perch atop a Susquehanna Hose Company ladder truck.

The 2017 Duck Drop is planned for midnight. Don't worry: It's a manmade duck.

Music will begin at 10 p.m. on the grounds of Havre de Grace Middle School and the Havre de Grace Activity Center. A local DJ will play music outside before the big countdown.
