Havre de Grace Fourth of July Parade, Concerts, Fireworks Guide
Here's your guide to the Fourth of July fireworks, parade and other festive events around Havre de Grace.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Fourth of July celebrations are right around the corner. Here's what is coming up around Havre de Grace this year for Independence Day. The city's festivities will be held on Sunday, July 1.
Events include a parade, block party, battle of the bands, Amish Outlaws concert and fireworks.
The theme for the 2018 parade is "Havre de Grace Honors America's Volunteers." The grand marshal is Don Osman, and he will help lead the parade down Union Avenue. A group including volunteers nominated by community members will march in the parade.

Parade Route
The parade starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 1.

It runs from Warren Street to Union Avenue to Commerce Street and ends at Tydings Park.
Floats, marching bands, local groups and others will participate in the parade.
Spectators may not put out blankets or lawn chairs for the parade before 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 1. Items will be removed by the Havre de Grace Police Department.
Block Party
The block party runs from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 1.
Hula hoop contests, a dunk tank, Uncle Sam says, and more games will be part of the festivities.
The party will be on North Washington at St. John streets.
Battle of the Bands
A battle of the bands will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 1.
Musical groups will perform at Concord Point Park, 352 Commerce Street.
Amish Outlaws Concert
The Amish Outlaws will perform from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Hutchins Park, 121 Saint John Street.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online or at the Havre de Grace Visitors Center, 450 Pennington Avenue. All attendees age 6 and up must have tickets.
The Havre de Grace American Legion Post 47 will provide food and drinks for sale. No outside food and drink will be permitted. People are encouraged to bring their own chairs, and view the fireworks show from this location.
Fireworks Show
The fireworks will start at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 1. The show will last 20 to 25 minutes, organizers say.
Fireworks will be launched from a barge east of Concord Point, south of the Concord Point Lighthouse.
Organizers say the fireworks show will be visible all along the waterfront. Patriotic music will be playing, and food vendors will be posted along the waterfront selling their goods.

The Havre de Grace Carnival will be held Sept 12. to Sept. 15.
