Havre de Grace Granted Funds for Tennis, Basketball Courts
Maryland granted Havre de Grace and Harford County the funds to upgrade lighting.

Pick-up basketball games and friendly tennis matches will be a little brighter next spring and summer in Havre de Grace.
Thanks to a grant from Program Open Space and the Community Parks and Playgrounds Program, Havre de Grace's basketball and tennis courts will be outfitted with new lights, according to a news release from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
The grant covers $126,400 in repairs to the Juniata Street facilities.

According to the release, the funds are "to replace outdated lighting at the Juniata Street Tennis and Basketball Courts. The proposed outdoor recreational lighting system is designed to perform its intended function, be energy efficient, and minimize light pollution."
