Havre de Grace Welcomes New Veteran-Owned Business
This new business in Havre de Grace will bring up to 15 new employees to the area, according to Harford County officials.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — There's a new business in Havre de Grace, and it's owned by a veteran. Harford County officials cut the ribbon at the Revolution Street business in late September.
Called ITekFED, the business provides data and IT services for federal partners. Located on Revolution Street, its building includes an office as well as a lab for working on projects.
It is the second company in Harford County founded by Adam Pattisall, who also heads up IncrediTek on Belmar Drive in Belcamp. That company is a value-added telecommunication equipment reseller, and ITekFED is its subsidiary that focuses on government clients.

"We started ITekFED in 2016 for our federal division, and we are growing," ITekFED Marketing Manager Chelsey Ryan told Patch. When asked why the company picked Havre de Grace for its new office, she said: "Adam wanted to keep our second location local and true to where it started."
The business opened its Havre de Grace office shortly before the Sept. 26 ribbon cutting, which was attended by employees and Harford County officials.

ITekFED has brought 12 to 15 new employees to the area, according to the Harford County Office of Community & Economic Development, which described the company as "a service-disabled veteran-owned small business providing data and IT services."
To qualify for the designation of being a service-disabled veteran-owned small business, the Small Business Administration states a business must be at least 51 percent owned and controlled by at least one service-disabled veteran and have at least one service-disabled veteran managing day-to-day operations and making long-term decisions. A service-disabled veteran means someone who has a disability connected to time in the service.
Pattisall is a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in its satellite communications program from 1987 to 1992.
