HdG Decoy Festival 2018: Events, Hours
The Havre de Grace Decoy and Wildlife Art Festival will be in town this weekend.

This weekend marks the 37th annual Havre de Grace Decoy & Wildlife Art Festival. The three-day event will include competitions, vendors and all-around homage to the objects used for hunting.
More than 100 artists will be presenting their work at the event in Havre de Grace, known as the decoy capital of the world.
The festival runs from Friday to Sunday. Vendors will set up shop at both Havre de Grace Middle School and the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum for the event.

What's happening: Decoy Festival schedule
Starting on Friday, vendors will be set up from 6- 9 p.m.
On Saturday, competitions and demonstrations are planned:

- 7-10 a.m. Carving competition registration
- 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Silent auctions (at middle school)
- 10 a.m. to completion. Carving competition - river gunning decoy and Ed Watts gunning rig divisions as well as single and tandem (middle school)
- 10:30 a.m. to completion. Carving competition - decorative floating and non-floating, decorative miniature, Whitey Frank decorative slick division, youth gunning, decorative fish, gunning decoy and shorebird divisions (decoy museum grounds)
- 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Retriever dog demonstrations (middle school)
- 12-1 p.m. Old decoy contest (middle school)
- 1-3 p.m. Silent auctions (middle school)
On Sunday, vendors will be set up from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. There will be a festival drawing at 3:30 p.m. at the middle school.
Where to find The Decoy And Wildlife Arts Festival
Two locations will be hosting the festival.
- At Havre de Grace Middle School, people will find a carving competition for decorative decoys as well as artists and carvers, at 401 Lewis Lane.
- At the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum, there will be a carving competition for gunning decoys, plus exhibits in the museum, at 215 Giles Street.
When is It?
The Havre de Grace Decoy & Wildlife Art Festival will be from Friday, May 4, to Sunday, May 6.
- Hours: 6-9 p.m. on Friday, May 4
- Hours: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, May 5
- Hours: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 6.
How much does it cost?
Admission is $10. Children under 12 years old are free with a paying adult. There will be shuttle buses to the middle school and decoy museum.
