HdG First Friday To Close Parts Of 4 Roads

The downtown district in Havre de Grace will be busting on Friday, Aug. 4.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD - Several roads will be closed for First Friday in Havre de Grace on Friday, Aug. 4, when the downtown district will turn into a pedestrian thoroughfare. Entertainers and vendors will be set up to delight First Friday attendees from about 5 to 9:30 p.m.

Sidewalk sales, outdoor restaurant seating and live music will be on tap during the family friendly celebration.

These streets will be closed to vehicles from 3 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, city officials say:

  • North Washington Street from Congress Avenue to St. John Street
  • North Pennington Avenue from North Lodge Lane to St. John Street.
  • St. John Street: Closed from Franklin Street to Green Street.
  • Franklin Street from North Union Avenue to St. John Street and from North Union Avenue to the parking lot of Backfin Blues. Crossing guards will be on hand at Union Avenue, which will remain open.
