HdG Home Invader Tried To Assault Officer: Police
Police said shots were fired and rocks were thrown when a man tried to break into a home in Havre de Grace on Father's Day.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — A home invasion near Havre de Grace led to burglary and assault charges recently, after police said the suspect threatened to kill the arresting officers.
Zachary Shay Davis, 26, of the 1700 block of Severn Chapel Road in Crownsville, was charged with two counts of second-degree assault; home invasion; and two counts of malicious destruction of property.
Davis allegedly started screaming outside a home in the 2000 block of Gemini Court at the people inside and proceeded to kick in the door on Sunday, June 18.

As officers were arriving to respond to the burglary call, the suspect allegedly ran from the scene.
The victim was familiar with the person's voice and identified him as "Zach," police said. The suspect was described as a light-complected black man wearing a white tank top and jeans.
When officers were working on the investigation, they said a man who matched the clothing description returned to the scene. Officials identified the man as Davis and attempted to take him into custody.
"During his arrest, he assaulted a member of the Havre de Grace Police Department, which did not result in serious injury," police said in a statement. "Davis made threats of violence to officers on the scene, threatening to kill them and their families."
Davis was held at the Harford County Detention Center on $25,000 bond, according to police.
Court records show he was released the day he was booked at the detention center.
The community where the call came from is in the Havre de Grace zip code, but it gets government services from the city of Aberdeen. As a result, the case was being handled by the Aberdeen Police Department.
