HdG Man Hospitalized After Deadly Crash: Harford Sheriff
Officials said a Havre de Grace man was driving a vehicle that overturned Friday morning, killing one person.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A Havre de Grace man was the driver in a single-vehicle crash Friday morning that resulted in the death of a Joppa teen. The two were riding in a Chevrolet Tahoe that crashed and flipped onto its side, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
Alcohol and speed were believed to have contributed to the fatal collision, which occurred on Poole Road near Cedar Church Road around 1:35 a.m. on Friday, May 31, officials said.
Damien Alec Myers, 28, of Havre de Grace, was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, officials said.

According to authorities, Myers was driving the 2001 Tahoe south on Poole Road when it went off the right side of the road, hit a tree and came to rest in the road on the driver's side of the vehicle.
Jordan Fredrick Maughan, 19, of Joppa, was pronounced deceased at the scene, officials said.

Poole Road was closed between the Arena Road and Cedar Church Road until approximately 7:15 a.m.
