HdG Shines Blue For Officer Amy Caprio
The city of Havre de Grace honors Baltimore County Officer Amy Caprio, who died in the line of duty.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The city of Havre de Grace lit up its downtown blue this week in tribute to Officer Amy Caprio. The 29-year-old Baltimore County policewoman died in the line of duty on Monday, May 20.
"By order of Mayor William T. Martin, the City up lights will be lit blue for the next two evenings in honor of the Baltimore County Police Officer who lost her life today while serving in the line of duty," the city said on Monday, which coincided with the city council's bimonthly meeting.
"Our collective thoughts and prayers are with the Officer’s family and the entire Baltimore County Police Department," city officials said in a statement.

Havre de Grace Chief of Police Teresa Walter asked for a moment of silence during the meeting for the fallen officer, The Aegis reported.
And the city was not the only entity shining blue.

The Harford County government building was also illuminated blue in the wake of the loss of Caprio, who lived in Fallston.
