Hollywood Casino Sign May Change Skyline View
Perryville's commissioners voted 3-2 in favor of a 175-foot sign along Interstate 95.

Soon, the most dominant figure on the skyline in northern Perryville may not be the distant Chesapeake Bay. According to The Cecil Whig and The Baltimore Sun, Perryville's government gave permission Tuesday to Penn National Gaming to build a 175-foot sign near Interstate 95 that will advertise the nearby Hollywood Casino Perryville.
The project was approved by a 3-2 vote, with opponents stating the sign will be too tall and bright, and visible to the neighboring residential neighborhoods, according to the newspapers.
The Whig reported the sign is about seven feet taller than the town code permits. The letters on the sign would be approximately six feet tall.
