Level Firefighters Helped Douse Fallston House Fire
The blaze caused $500,000 in damage, according to the Maryland state fire marshal.

Approximately 75 firefighters responded to a house fire in Fallston Sunday that caused $500,000 in damage, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
A passerby reported the fire in the 2900 block of Beechwood Lane at 12:58 p.m. on Sunday, the fire marshal reported.
Crews from Harford and Baltimore counties assisted in the operation, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Due to a lack of fire hydrants near the scene, crews used the Fallston Mall as a source to battle the fire, Gardiner said.
The Level Volunteer Fire Company reported that it shuttled water from the Fallston Mall to the fire ground using its tanker truck.

It took firefighters approximately one hour to bring the blaze under control at the single-story ranch-style home, according to the report from the fire marshal, which said there were no injuries as a result of the incident.
While there was a smoke alarm in the home, it was not immediately known whether it went off, the fire marshal said.
Where and how the fire started remained under investigation Sunday evening, according to the fire marshal.
