HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Three homes were struck by lightning Tuesday in Harford County, emergency officials said.  These locations were affected, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.  <ul><li>100 block of Bright Oaks Drive, Bel Air</li><li>700 block of West Ring Factory Road, Bel Air</li><li>2600 block of Urey Road, Norrisville</li></ul>The soffit was blown off the residence on Bright Oaks Drive, Chenworth said.  Firefighters found smoke inside the home on Urey Road, she noted.  Officials said there were no injures associated with any of the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/fireinfo/posts/1123129057754038" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">lightning strikes</a>.  Harford County was under a severe thunderstorm warning Tuesday when the storms hit.  There was a <a href="https://nwschat.weather.gov/p.php?pid=201608160523-KLWX-SXUS71-RERBWI" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">record rainfall</a> of 1.64 inches in Baltimore, according to the National Weather Service. The old record was 1.4 inches, set on Aug. 16, 1934, weather officials said.  Approximately 1.35 inches of <a href="http://w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KMTN.html" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">rain</a> reportedly fell in Bel Air Tuesday, and winds exceeded 25 mph at one point.
