Missing Boater's Body Found in Havre de Grace: Official
Jeffery Swank was reported missing in October when his houseboat was found without him on it.

The body of a man who disappeared from his sailboat off the shores of Havre de Grace recently was discovered over the weekend.
The body of Jeffery Swank, 58, was discovered Saturday at the water’s edge near Pennington Avenue, according to Candy Thomson, spokeswoman for Maryland Natural Resources Police.
Swank, a resident of Berwyn, PA, had been reported missing Oct. 30 after a relative grew concerned upon being unable to reach the man, who lived on his sailboat, Thomson said.

Two fishermen found the body at the foot of Pennington Avenue, approximately 300 yards from where Swank’s boat was found, according to Thomson. The 42-foot Irwin sailboat, registered in Delaware, was found near the Susquehanna railroad bridge at the end of October without Swank on it, according to Thomson.
When fishermen found the body at approximately 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, it was in three feet of water, she said.

Natural Resources Police, the Susquehanna Hose Company and Havre de Grace Police Department assisted in getting the body out, The Aegis reported.
Divers began searching for Swank on Oct. 30 and after their initial searches, Natural Resources Police officers in boats made the search for him part of their daily patrols, Thomson said.
Swank’s body was sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy and his family was notified, Thomson said.
