New Hospital Zoning Goes To Planning Board

The Havre de Grace Planning Commission will hear zoning amendments Monday.

In particular, the commission will hear amendments to Article 8: Mixed Office & Employment, as it pertains to the proposed Upper Chesapeake Hospital campus near  and the Interstate 95 interchange.

According to the planning commission agenda, the changes have been reviewed by the planning department and the council planning committee, and are in support of the proposed hospital.

The proposed changes revolve around signage restrictions, according to a city official. The height of signage likely will be restricted, the official said, though signage on the hospital building itself likely will not be restricted to the same height requirements.

The Planning Commission will review the proposed changes and provide a recommendation to to consider for adoption.

The agenda also notes that representatives from Upper Chesapeake will be at the meeting.
