New Rental Code To Be Introduced to City Council

Havre de Grace may have a new rental code in the near future, as City Council introduces a new ordinance at Monday's meeting.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at .

The ordinance, according to the agenda for the meeting, would rescind the current code and replace it entirely.

The meeting will open with four recognitions for students of the month: 's Bridget Tramontana, 's Micah Jacobs, 's Samantha Beck and 's .

Two presentations will be made. John Butler and Havre de Grace manager of marketing and tourism Brigitte Peters will make a presentation on behalf of the American Flag Foundation. Susquehanna Hose Company President Charles Packard will deliver a state of the union on behalf of the volunteer fire company.

Council will also decide on two reappointments to the Tourism Advisory Board—residents and .

Two special events will be considered: an amendment to the Main Street and Tree Lighting, and the Susquehanna Hose Company Duck Dunk, scheduled for Jan. 20, 2012.
