Power Out At The Harford Center On March 5 2018
BREAKING: The not-for-profit center on North Earlton road will be closed on Monday, March 5.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The Harford Center will be closed on Monday, March 5. The not-for-profit on North Earlton Road made the announcement Monday morning, attributing the closure to a lack of power.
There are more than 5,000 BGE customers in Harford County without power as of 7 a.m. on Monday, according to the utility company.
"As of 6:30 a.m., The Harford Center has no power," officials with the organization said. "We will be closed today, Monday, March 5."

The Harford Center reported Sunday that a tree had fallen on a nearby power line, delaying restoration of utilities to the not-for-profit day program serving those with disabilities.
In the city, Havre de Grace Elementary was also closed on Monday due to a lack of power.

The nor'easter Friday knocked out power to more than 400,000 BGE customers in Maryland.
There were more than 30,000 outages reported in Harford County, and County Executive Barry Glassman declared a state of emergency.
BGE officials said they were working around-the-clock on repairs.
“We continue to thank our customers for their patience and understanding as our employees, joined by crews from other states and Canada, work to fully restore service interrupted by this destructive storm,” Rodney Oddoye, vice president of customer operations and chief customer officer for BGE, said in a statement Sunday night. “We understand the difficulties our customers are facing and are working to safely restore power as quickly as possible.”
