Patch: What can you tell me about Rachel's Challenge?
Gabe: We’ve been doing the Friends with Rachel meetings. That’s every week.
Patch: What inspired you to get involved?
Gabe: I was kind of thinking of joining anyway, but pushed me to get into it.
Patch: What kind of things have you gotten out of it so far?
Gabe: How different people act once they realize it could be over any minute. Make every day count. I remember in the presentation, someone in the movie said, “Imagine if one of your family members was in there, and what’s the last thing you’d say to them.”
Patch: What are your favorite classes?
Gabe: Probably FOT [Foundations of Technology] or tech ed or gym or band.
Patch: What's the hardest class?
Gabe: English. I'm not much of a writer.
Patch: You still have some time left, but what are your plans after graduation?
Gabe: I don’t know what I’m going to do for college yet. But I’m probably going to go to HCC and get my academic classes out of the way.
Patch: What do you do in your free time?
Gabe: Kick the ball around. Play Xbox. Go fishing.
Patch: What's your favorite game on Xbox?
Gabe: Modern Warfare 2. My friend and I like to quickscope each other.
Patch: What is quickscope?
Gabe: You get a bolt-action sniper rifle. You have to be really quick and really good at it.
Patch: What's on your iPod?
Gabe: I don't have an iPod. I listen to country on the radio.
Patch: What would you do if you won the lottery?
Gabe: I’d probably buy a nice car. That’d be the first thing I bought. Right now I’d buy a car.
Patch: Do you have a car right now?
Gabe: No. I have my permit.
Patch: What is your favorite movie?
Gabe: Top Gun.
Patch: That's before your time, man.
Gabe: It plays on TV a lot.
Patch: What makes Havre de Grace so unique?
Gabe: Probably the small class sizes. Everyone knows each other. Everybody knows downtown Havre de Grace, so it's easy to make friends and hang out.
