SHCO Swift Water Rescue Team Saves 3 Stranded On Susquehanna: Officials
First responders in Havre de Grace saved people who had become stranded Saturday afternoon near Deer Creek.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD - The Susquehanna Hose Company saved three people who were stranded on the waters near Havre de Grace Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., the swift water rescue team was dispatched to an island about 50 yards off shore, where someone had become stranded in the area where the Susquehanna River meets Deer Creek, the hose company reported.
Upon arrival, first responders said they found that there were in fact three people stranded on the island. The swift water rescue team brought them ashore before 2 p.m., officials said.

This was the second report of people in distress on the water that the Susquehanna Hose Company responded to in the past two days. On Friday afternoon, kayakers were rescued from Garrett Island.
