Sobriety Checkpoint in Harford Coming Up: Sheriff
DUI checkpoint aims to curb impaired driving on area roads, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office will conduct a sobriety checkpoint mid December, officials announced.
The checkpoint, designed to keep intoxicated drivers off the road, will be set up from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, according to the sheriff’s office. Officials did not disclose the location for the checkpoint.
The announcement comes after the sheriff’s office conducted a heroin sweep on Tuesday, Nov. 24, that stirred controversy and drew the attention of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which said it may have violated the Fourth Amendment’s prohibition on unreasonable searches and seizures.
