Tom Fitzpatrick Sworn In To Harford Board of Education
Havre de Grace resident Thomas Fitzpatrick was sworn in as member of the Harford County Board of Education Monday.

Fitzpatrick is the third Havre de Grace representative to the board in the past three years. After , he will hold a term through June 30, 2015.
Asked what he looks forward to the most with his new position, Fitzpatrick showed his sense of humor, proclaiming: "Getting out alive."

He added: "A lot of people in Havre de Grace have come up to me to express their support. We've had two people in Havre de Grace appointed to the board and they have gotten frustrated and left for one reason or another. I'm not in the school system, I don't have a background in it. In sense, I am going to be leaning on them for advice."
Fitzpatrick, who to the board that he'll focus on a new high school for Havre de Grace, sported a button that read "IT'S OUR TURN!"

He said: "I'm here on behalf of my community and I'm proud to serve my community. Alot of people have reached out to me and I am going to be reaching out to a lot of people as I move forward in this position."
