Torch Run Takes Off from Lock House
Harford County law enforcement contributed to kickoff for Maryland Special Olympics.
A sea of yellow shirts flooded US Route 40 in Havre de Grace Tuesday morning for the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run.
The annual event raises funds and awareness for the Special Olympics, as law enforcement agencies sell merchandise like t-shirts to participate, then donate the money to the cause of helping people with special needs.
The Harford County group was scheduled to meet at the Lock House at 7:30 a.m., according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.
