Truck Takes A Dip Near American Legion

Police said a driver had a vehicle malfunction near Saint John Street, resulting in an unintentional car wash.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — A vehicle drove into the water in Havre de Grace by accident this week, police said. According to authorities, a man was trying to take his boat out of the water when his truck ended up taking a dip in the Susquehanna River by the American Legion by mistake.

The Havre de Grace Police Department was called to the 500 block of Saint John Street at 12:47 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

Officials said the driver's brakes failed, and his truck and trailer ended up in the water.
