Warriors Win 2016 Regional 1A Football Championship
Congratulations are in order for Havre de Grace High School football team, class 1A north champs for second consecutive year in MPSSAA.
HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The Warriors football team will proceed on in the playoffs after winning the 1A regional championship.
Havre de Grace beat the Surrattsville Hornets, 19-14.
This is the second year in a row the Warriors have won the regional championship in the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA).

The team went all the way to the state championship in 2015 before falling to the Fort Hill Sentinels, who have now won the title for three consecutive years.

Next, the Warriors will host the class 1A state semifinals at Harris Stadium on Friday, Nov. 26.

The state final will be at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis.
