Will New Sign Drive More Traffic Into Downtown Havre de Grace?

The sign above MD Route 155 leading into Havre de Grace may be overlooked by locals. That's understandable—the view of the Upper Chesapeake Bay commands the attention of most.

But for tourists, the sign can be a big help for finding the quaint, downtown arts and entertainment district.

Elected officials and business owners understand the trek from I-95 into the downtown area can be long, winding and frustrating for visitors. So with cooperation from the State Highway Administration, Havre de Grace officials had the sign between Superior and Ohio streets outfitted with more specific directions to the city's historic district.
