Women Build Home in Havre de Grace
Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna is an ecumenical Christian housing organization devoted to building, renovating and repairing homes.
Over the past couple of months Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna has been constructing a home in Havre de Grace, Maryland. What you may not have noticed is that the framing of the home at 518 North Adams Street is pink! This particular home was part of Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build project that challenged women to devote at least one day to help build affordable housing in their local communities.
Lowe’s employees were among the volunteers that helped build this home.
Joan Higginbotham, Lowe’s director of community relations, said: “Women Build has made a difference in the lives of thousands of families since its inception. We’re grateful to all the women in Cecil and Harford counties who got involved and were part of something bigger.”
