Work On Bulle Rock Water Tower To Begin

The city of Havre de Grace announced a construction project will involve draining the water from the Bulle Rock water tower.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Change is ahead for the Bulle Rock water tower. The city of Havre de Grace sent a message to residents on Thursday night letting them know that public works officials will be working on the structure for approximately three weeks.

Starting this weekend, the Department of Public Works will begin draining the water tower.

"The city is prepping the water tower so structural repairs can be made starting next week," Havre de Grace Mayor Bill Martin said in a recorded message delivered to citizens on Thursday, March 7.

City officials anticipate the work will not cause any issues for residents; their water service and water pressure should not be affected, according to Martin.

Work is expected to continue for about three weeks, meaning it should be complete by the end of March.
