Baltimore Grand Prix provided an iMovie & iPhoto Opportunity
BUMPA (Baltimore Users of Mobile Products by Apple) - 1st Baltimore Grand Prix and how I used my iPhone to capture the action and still shots.
The inaugural Grand Prix in Baltimore seemed like a success from my perspective, which was as a General Admission participant. Next year I think I'll spring for a seat in a Grandstand or finagle an invite to one of the reserved venues.
The best time to go was actually last Friday since they weren't controlling who could get into the Grandstands or the Paddock Area.
Fortunately, I knew the decible level would be extremely high and had extra earplugs for me and the 4 other people I took over Saturday & Sunday.

Naturally, I had my iPhone ready and I found it to be more reliable and a bit easier to use than my Contour GPS Headcam. The one problem I had was an intermittent tendency for a finger to get in the video because the iPhone camera is so close to a corner of the iPhone.
I found out as a General Admissions ticket holder it helped to be fairly tall (I'm a little over 6 feet tall), and to be able to reach up with the iPhone to capture shots over people who might be, no, will be, in front of you.
