72-Year-Old Woman Killed In Crash Near Shopping Center: Police

OWINGS MILLS, MD — A 72-year-old woman is dead after a two-car collision unfolded near the Cherry Valley Plaza Shopping Center.

The Baltimore County Police Department said in a Thursday release that the crash was reported around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, when it happened along the intersection of Reisterstown Road and Shetland Circle.

Police said the crash involved a 2017 Nissan Sentra and a 2023 Toyota RAV4.

At the scene, officers found the Sentra driver, identified as 72-year-old Francine White, injured. She was later taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Preliminary findings indicate White was traveling northbound on Reisterstown Road, trying to make a left turn from the center turn lane into a parking lot. She ultimately collided with the RAV4 traveling on the southbound lanes.

The department did not release additional details about the driver of the Toyota or say whether anyone else was injured.

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
