Cockeysville Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash: Police

The deceased was reportedly a musician.

A Cockeysville man died in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning at the intersection of Warren and York roads, the Baltimore County Police Department reported.

Ronald Friedman, 72, was headed east on Warren Road at the intersection of York Road when his BMW motorcycle collided with a Toyota Prius after 10 a.m. on Monday, the report said.

Friedman, of the 800 block of Ramshead Circle, was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was declared deceased, according to the report.

He was a music teacher in Baltimore city and county schools who also played in the Baltimore Municipal Concert Band and Annapolis Symphony, The Baltimore Sun reported.

The condition of the Prius driver was not immediately available.

Based on the initial investigation, police said the Prius had been headed west on Warren Road and was making a left turn onto southbound York Road when the vehicle and motorcycle collided. The crash team was investigating the incident.

The intersection was closed until approximately 1 p.m., transportation officials reported.
