Cranbrook Liquors To Start "Dollar Days" Sale

For two days, almost all the store's beers, liquors and wines will cost only a dollar more than distributor price.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, is holding its semi-annual "Dollar Days" sale.

During this special sale, the store's beers, liquors and wines — with the exception of very rare items and kegs — will cost just a dollar more than the distributer's price, according to Elyse Golueke, the store's manager. This amounts to an average of 30 percent off purchases.

"Dollar Days" is traditionally a very popular event in Cockeysville. Golueke said customers start arriving at the door at 7 a.m. and wait in checkout lines for about two hours on the first day of the sale.

To accomodate the influx of customers, Cranbrook Liquors, located at 52 Cranbrook Road, is extendings its hours to 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

As a tip, she suggests coming in at around mid-morning on Wednesday, after the store receives a new delivery of "must have" items.

Customers can also make special orders by the case and pay sales price for pick-up on April 6.

Only cash, checks and debit cards are accepted during "Dollar Days." The store won't accept credit cards because it would lose money considering the reduced prices and fees charged by credit card companies, Golueke said.
