Dulaney High Student Wins Wrestlemania Trivia Challenge

Jonathan Lovo, a 19-year-old senior at Dulaney High School, received a $25 Target gift card for winning the Wrestlemania Trivia Challenge.

"I don't know what I'm going to do with it, but I'll think about it," Lovo said.

The event, which took place Thursday afternoon in the library's , invited participants to check out a display of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and other wrestling themed items, participate in the trivia contest and pledge to join the Wrestlemania Reading Challenge.

The Wrestlemania Reading Challenge, sponsored by WWE and the Young Adult Library Services Association, is a national program encouraging young people to read.

The challenge, for students in grades five to twelve, allows participants to read five books or graphic novels and complete a wrestling related project in exchange for prizes.

The project for seventh through 12th grade students is to write a letter to a WWE star convincing the wrestler to read their favorite book. Fifth and sixth graders will be asked to design a bookmark with a slogan promoting reading.

Seven grand prize winners will be awarded tickets for two to Wrestlemania XXVIII in April 2010.

Interested students can still register for the challenge at the library.
