Hunt Valley Shooting: 1 Arrested, 1 Hospitalized, Police Say

A 42-year-old man was shot in Hunt Valley Saturday night related to a previous dispute with another man, police reported.

HUNT VALLEY, MD — A parking lot dispute escalated into a shooting in Hunt Valley on Saturday night, according to police. One person was hospitalized while another was in custody, officials reported as of Monday afternoon.

The two men involved in the dispute knew one another and had a previous disagreement, officials said.

They came across each other around 11:11 p.m. on Saturday at the corner of Shawan and McCormick roads, police said. One man had turned to walk away when the suspect shot him in the upper body one time, then left, according to authorities.

Officials said that as of Monday, there was a suspect in custody. He has not yet been identified.

The 42-year-old victim was in good condition at an area hospital, police said. He was expected to survive, officials reported.
