Local Boutique Owner Shares Fall Fashion Tips
Fashion Shop owner Janis Krewe-Lavenstein dishes on the season's top looks.

With the days getting cooler, local clothing boutique owner Janis Krewe-Lavenstein has a few tips on flattering fall fashions for women of all ages.
"Somebody in their twenties and over 40 can wear the same piece." said Krewe-Lavenstein, owner of . "But it's how the outfit is put together that makes it appropriate for each woman."
For example, she said, a sequined dress is a great option for a holiday party but while a younger woman may opt for lacy hose, an older woman should go for an opaque legging for a more conservative look.

Another piece in style this season is the poncho, which she said is very fashionable.

"You can dress it up or down," she said. "It looks cute with high boots. It can be used as part of an outfit, or, you can just use it to keep warm and take off later."
And if you've put on a few pounds this season, Krew-Lavenstein suggests wearing a long sweater.
"They tend to flatter the frame and cover areas you want to hide."
As for accessories, she said long socks accented with fur, preferably faux, worn over boots is an attractive and comfortable look.
