Pasture Walk
September 18, 2014 at 6 pm at the Baltimore County Center for Maryland Agriculture.

The Baltimore County Center for Maryland Agriculture has an interesting rotational grazing site under development. The University of Maryland Extension office in conjunction with the Baltimore County Soil Conservation District will kick off fall season with a pasture walk at the Baltimore County Center for Maryland Agriculture and Farm Park, 1114 Shawan Road, Cockeysville, MD 21030. This informal hands-on-pasture management discussion will begin at 6:00 pm rain or shine. The pasture walk is open to anyone with livestock and or questions about establishing or maintaining pastures. An additional focus of the evening will be a discussion on hay and hay quality.
The University of Maryland Extension (University of Maryland Extension programs are open to all citizens without regard to race, color, gender, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation, marital or parental status, or national origin.) and the Baltimore County Soil Conservation District (including (USDA-NRCS) are conducting a series of โPasture Walksโ to offer livestock owners an opportunity to visit farms to see and discuss pasture management techniques and conservation measures for improving production and reducing costs.
