Police Identify Pedestrian Killed in Cockeysville Crash

UPDATE—Police have identified the pedestrian killed in Cockeysville Thursday morning in a crash that closed York Road for more than four hours.

Behrooz Yazdanian, 67, of the unit block of Quiet Stream Court in Lutherville-Timonium, was pronounced dead at the scene, police reported.

Yazdanian had been crossing York Road from east to west when he was hit by a Ford Escape at 6:47 a.m. in the area of Industry Lane, according to the report.

York Road was closed between Industry Lane and Scott Adam Road until 11:18 am., the report said.

The driver remained at the scene of the crash, which the Baltimore County Police Department is investigating.
