Cuba Road Bridge Closed

The county closed  Bridge, which spans Western Run, in late June to refurbish the 112-foot long structure. The bridge was originally scheduled to reopen in September but, as a result of delays from Hurricane Irene, it is expected to open later in October. For now, traffic is being detoured along Miller Road, Falls Road and Western Run Road.

Phoenix Road Bridge Open to Westbound Traffic

The Baltimore City owned , which closed for repairs in November 2010, is open to westbound traffic only. Eastbound traffic can continue detouring to York, Ashland-Papermill and Phoenix roads. City and county officials are working on a plan to create an alternating-one-way traffic signal control system that would allow traffic in both directions to use the bridge during the closure.

North County Bridges

The county's structural engineers inspected all for damage following Hurricane Irene, Tropical Storm Lee, recent heavy rains and the August . Major repairs have been completed but crews are now seeing to minor repairs.

Hess Road Bridge Hearing
