Salvation Army Store Opening

NEW
HUNT VALLEY FAMILY STORE TO STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY TIES

Everyone can use a break from the high prices at
the grocery store and gas pump, for everyday expenses or just for clothing or
household items. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you live. And if one person
saving money can also benefit another person in need, it’s a win-win situation.

On October
12, 2013 at 9 am,
a new Salvation Army Family Store will open for shopping
and donations. This new store, the largest in the area with 27,000 square feet,
will be fully stocked with new and gently used housewares and clothing items thanks to a coordinated distribution system that serves the entire Baltimore
and Central Maryland area. While shoppers can save money on their purchases,
the proceeds benefit the greater Baltimore community and Maryland families in
countless ways. And, with Halloween fast approaching, there’s plenty of
potential costume material for all sizes and ages.

“These Family Stores are helping families
everywhere stretch their budgets while also helping us to achieve a critical function
in our mission to serve communities,” said Major Robert Lyle, Area Regional Commander for the Salvation Army in Baltimore. “The proceeds help to support
our Adult Rehabilitation Centers so every donation made, and every dollar spent
in these stores, makes a life-changing difference here at home. People with
addictions, those who are struggling, and their families benefit.”

Along
with this new location, where donations are accepted, The Salvation Army also
has released its new ‘mobile’ site. With a few clicks at http://satruck.org/salvation-army-mobile-apps on your tablet or smart phone,
the streamlined mobile site allows visitors to easily schedule a donation
pick-up at their home or business, or find a drop-off location nearby.

“We are looking forward to opening this new store and expanding our presence in
this community. Every sale enables us to make lives better.” says Major Lyle.
