Here is a rather sensible approach to resolving our immigration problem, which clearly involves compromise on both sides of the aisle. Since the Democrats aggressively support and encourage immigrants by providing them with various types of welfare, food stamps, and various other entitlements, Root’s suggested approach for the immigrants agreeing to never accept ‘entitlements’ is not likely to ever be implemented. But, his main argument should be both fundamental and understandable to most Americans: “Conservatives will let you in…if you’re a taxpayer and contributor, but we’re not going to let you in, if you’ve come here to be a taxpayer drain."
