Arrest Made In Self-Inflicted Towson University Shooting
One person was arrested at Towson University after an individual was injured by a self-inflicted gunshot wound, officials said.

TOWSON, MD — One person was arrested late Thursday at Towson University after a shooting took place inside the stairwell of a dormitory.
Although the university did not identify the suspect in custody, it said they were not affiliated with the school.
School officials described the incident in a release as a self-inflicted shooting, noting there is no ongoing threat.

Both university police and officers with the Baltimore County Police Department responded at about 9:15 p.m. to reports of shots fired in the stairwell of the Tower C residence hall.
At the scene, first responders found a person suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to their lower body. Officials later determined the shooting occurred when the person in possession of the handgun discharged the firearm.

No other injuries were reported.
The case is being investigated by the county police.
