Water Rescue Call On Shawan Road Was Crash: Officials

COCKEYSVILLE, MD — What was originally reported as a water rescue in Baltimore County Tuesday evening turned out to be something else, officials said. Authorities were notified that a vehicle was stuck in a body of water near Oregon Ridge.

Crews were dispatched to the 1400 block of Shawan Road at 5:12 p.m. for what officials initially classified as a water rescue.

It turned out to be a vehicle that had crashed, and authorities said a rescue was not required; nobody was trapped.

One adult was involved in the crash, officials said, and that person refused to be taken to the hospital.
