Hello Patchers! Introducing My Blog

Hello Patchers! My name is Cynthia Infante, and I am a local girl. I’ve lived in Hyattsville for about 15 years and am a communications and journalism student at the University of Maryland University College.  

I love writing, and aspire to be a journalist. When I am not blogging, I can be found hiking at Great Falls National Park; paddling on the Potomac River with the D.C. Dragon Boat Club; or partying at concerts in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

I am a chronic talker and people-watcher, and love exploring everything related to culture. My blog will be about music, film, religion, spirituality and diversity. And don’t be afraid to disagree with me, because I love new perspectives.

Diversity is the best part of our town and I hope you enjoy Hyattsville's fusion of languages, food, and customs as much as I do.
